Which safety system are you assessing?
EU 2019/2144 sets type-approval requirements for general vehicle safety and protection of occupants and vulnerable road users. It is not a single equipment check. Read each requirement against the vehicle category, the relevant technical legislation and the applicable timetable.
Turn the systems list into a review table
Anemon recommends one row per safety function: vehicle category, the relevant Annex II entry, detailed technical legislation, evidence and responsible team. For intelligent speed assistance, for example, recording that a camera is fitted does not explain the approval basis. Identify which technical requirements the function has been assessed against.
Do not apply one date to every vehicle
New-type approval and registration of new vehicles are different assessment points. Check the Annex II requirements and dates alongside the relevant implementing legislation. The store’s 2 August 2026 date identifies this PDF’s regulatory edition, not a common mandatory date for every system.
Choose a reference for the programme review
This edition combines the general safety framework, RegsUP explanations and manufacturer questions. Use it to frame the scope and collect questions before moving into the detailed system regulations. Separate PDFs for individual systems are not automatically included in this purchase.
The regulatory edition date and guidance date are distinct. Product details alone do not establish acceptance for your project or inclusion of all subsequent amendments.
Sources and edition references
The official source supports the technical framework. Its text level, the store edition and the guidance date are distinct. Check the amendments and transition provisions applicable to your application separately.
