Where does the battery report fit?
UN R100 treats electric powertrain safety, Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS) safety and installation of an approved REESS in separate parts. This distinction explains why a battery supplier and a vehicle manufacturer may use the same reference for different tasks.
Follow the pack into the vehicle installation
Anemon recommends collecting the REESS definition, approval reference, mounting arrangement, electrical connections and relevant reports in one review list. When changing a battery pack, compare more than external dimensions. Record the approval scope of the replacement and the changes to vehicle integration.
Read the test scope before the test name
Before relying on a report, check the specimen identity, configuration and regulatory level used for the assessment. Reports filed under the same heading can represent different technical scopes. This is Anemon’s documentation recommendation; this article does not prescribe test sequences or acceptance thresholds.
The 05 series identifies the offered edition
The store identifies the 05 series and a document version date of 26 September 2025. The 221-page file combines regulatory text, RegsUP explanations, manufacturer questions and source extracts. The product page does not state a guidance date. Do not use the document version date as your project’s approval or transition deadline.
The regulatory edition date and guidance date are distinct. Product details alone do not establish acceptance for your project or inclusion of all subsequent amendments.
Sources and edition references
The official source supports the technical framework. Its text level, the store edition and the guidance date are distinct. Check the amendments and transition provisions applicable to your application separately.
